Simon wins First Prize in the Rock/Alternative category for the 2011 USA Songwriting Competition with his song A Four-Letter Word. The full song will be available with the worldwide release of the album Four-Letter Words in 2012. Four-Letter Words debuts at #6 on the New Zealand independent album sales charts, and #37 for overall album sales in New Zealand. And an acoustic version of No Solid Ground (before the recording of FLW was complete) featured as a finalist in the 2010 USA Songwriting Competition, making it Simon’s third song to reach the finals. Simon’s second album, Four-Letter Words, is released in New Zealand today. The CD is available in all good music stores, and is available for download on iTunes NZ, Digirama and Amplifier (coming to iTunes worldwide very soon!).
Additionally, second single A Four-Letter Word has begun airing on the Classic Hits network throughout NZ. Catch Simon’s TV appearances this week on Wednesday, on both the Good Morning show and Drew & Shannon Live. And, join us on Thursday April 7th for the album release party at Juice Bar in Parnell, Auckland.
